The Chattanooga Moms Blog’s 2nd Annual Cookies with Santa was a night filled with twinkle lights, balloons, magical characters and holiday cheer.

2nd Annual Cookies with Santa

This is our favorite event of the year, one in which we get to meet so many of the faces behind the comments, likes and shares of our daily content and lighthearted memes. Our mission is to come alongside moms and families in the Chattanooga area with trustworthy reviews, guides to the city, and affordable and entertaining family events! The Chattanooga Choo Choo is a perfect place to visit as a family during the Christmas season and we are honored that so many of you choose to spend the evening with us. The Choo Choo continues to be a beautiful and accommodating space for visitors and locals to enjoy year after year.

What would Cookies with Santa be without our beloved coffee shop and restaurant Frothy Monkey providing sweet treats for kids and caffeine for their parents? We highly recommend Frothy Monkey for coffee, cookies, catering and anything else!

While the Choo Choo’s Santa has remained the same for almost two decades, we made some changes for this event. To accommodate families with young children, tickets were sold in time slots ensuring shorter wait times. For those who may have missed out on a time slot or who preferred to get dressed up for pictures at another time, the mobile ticket and guest list guarantees the exclusive CMB Santa Package discount. Just mention CMB to the photographer when you decide to visit the Choo Choo later this year!

Mrs. Claus also joined us with a reading, as she does every Friday night of the season. Her reading corner area was perfect for young kids to tumble around in, listen to stories and partake in her bountiful basket of candy canes and fascinating buttons. The partnership between CMB, the Chattanooga Choo Choo and Tin Man Tintype Photography has been highly successful with one goal in mind: to ensure that guests have an enjoyable and low stress evening! We hope that your family enjoyed the benefits of this goal.

We appreciate our event sponsors who put much thought and energy into decorating and bringing tables full of activities and snacks for our guests!

The Chattanooga Allergy Clinic came with goody bags for all kids!

We always love to see what Hixon Pediatric Dentistry and Northshore Pediatric Dentistry bring to our family events! Fun games, loads of prizes and all the smiles you can get made a great space for kids to play and win over and over again!

Is it really the holiday season until you have a photo op with a walrus? Webb Family Orthodontics brought one of our favorite mascots and a troop of “reindeer” to teach the kids how to lure in the real reindeer on Christmas Eve.

It was highly fitting to have St. Nicholas School at our event on December 6th, St. Nicholas Day! Kids learned all about the man behind the Santa tradition, and did a little soul searching to emulate the kindness that began the famous legend. It didn’t hurt to have a few chocolate coins on hand to pass out as well!

Pigtails and Crewcuts jumped into their first CMB event with great energy and fun. We loved seeing the kids work diligently on the ornament crafts they brought, and they even provided tiny chairs for little ones who couldn’t otherwise reach! Check out their newest location at The Signal Mill on the Northshore.

Sawrie Orthodontics  brought a table full of busy elves to keep little hands full of all kinds of snacks and swag. We enjoy seeing our sponsors care so much about our guests!

It’s hard to say who was the most popular character of the evening! We were so pleased that Magic Lamp Entertainment brought Ana and Elsa to meet some of their youngest and most adoring fans.

With the help of some area business and sponsors, we were able to have a table filled with door prizes for lucky guests! Giving out unexpected gifts to readers was one of the highlights of our evening. We had bundles from Kwik Stix and Happy Family, family tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium and the Tennessee Valley Railroad: North Pole Limited, and baskets of Decorate-Your-Own cookies from Bake, Eat, Repeat

With the help of many of you, we were able to collect and donate toys for the Forgotten Child Fund, a locally created and sponsored toy drive for area children living in poverty. The Chattanooga Choo Choo and Creative Discovery Museum teamed up to put together a Grand Prize Family Package to be raffled off to all who donated. This year’s winner is…Kristy Hicks! Thank you so much for donating to this cause. If you are interested in making a contribution to this foundation, Frothy Monkey and all Chattanooga Fire Department stations are donation locations.

To all of our readers, we wish you a Merry Christmas! We hope to see you at our future family events!
