Siskin Children’s Institute works to improve the quality of life for children with special needs and their families. Siskin Children’s Institute has operated the Siskin Early Learning Center for more than 70 years. The center educates children with special needs and developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorders, as well as typically developing children in an inclusive environment where children learn and play together.
The Chattanooga Public Library serves City of Chattanooga residents through its main library in downtown Chattanooga and through four branches. Our mission is to be the community’s catalyst for lifelong learning. Neighborhood library locations include the Northgate, Eastgate, South Chattanooga and Avondale branches.
Constructed in 1936, the Jones Observatory has existed in Chattanooga, TN for 75 years now. Though small, it has a dedicated staff and is Chattanoogas premiere free attraction.
The James A. Smith Planetarium is operated by the Walker County School System. While a majority of their programming is for school children, the Planetarium offers some occasional public programming.
Public planetarium programs are usually presented on the first Sunday afternoon of each month at 2:30 p.m. and on the last Tuesday evening of each month at 7:30 p.m. unless the date falls when schools are not in session or there is inclement weather. The planetarium operates from October 2nd through December 13th and from January 14th through May 14th.

Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence (CCSE) provides an innovative, engaging, and personalized learning environment for students in grades K-8. Established in 2011, CCSE is centrally located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Point Christian Academy is a new Christian School and Preschool in the heart of Red Bank.
For the 2022-2023 school year, we have students enrolled from pre-k 2 through Pre-k 4 and Kindergarten through 2nd grade. We will be expanding our Academy grades to 4th grade for the 2023-2024 school year with plans for strategic growth in the following years.

International Experience (iE) provides a platform for international high school students, their host families and their host communities to connect, relate and explore both the differences that define us as well as the similarities that unite us. We believe that learning about other cultures, languages and customs is the best way to dispel prejudice and embrace global citizenship.
Our presence in Chattanooga has grown from 4 host families in 2020 to nearly 30 in 2022! Families can host anywhere in Hamilton County as well as Bradley, Sequatchie, Polk, Loudon, Knox, and surrounding counties.
