A Chattanooga Family’s Guide to June 2026

Chattanooga June Family Events

Can you believe that is it June already?  Well, here we are!  The kids are out of school, and it is time to make some great summer memories!

On June 13th, the Chattanooga Zoo has their annual Ice Cream Safari event!  This is one of our favorites!  Your ticket includes a ton of ice cream and treats from local ice cream shops and vendors!  If you are already in America’s 250th Independence Day spirit, Rock City is celebrating throughout the summer with Americana themed decorations and activities.  I highly recommend going at twilight!

There are a couple of holidays going on this month, the Juneteenth: Celebration of Freedom will be happening at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center on June 19th.  And of course, Father’s Day will on Sunday of the same week, and you can celebrate with Dad at the Chattanooga Market’s Father’s Day Blues and Brews!

Chattanooga Market has other great themed market’s happening each Sunday this month including Top Tomato Festival, Midsummer Solace, and FiveStar Food Fight!

Though the Walnut Street Bridge is still closed for renovations until the Fall, The Annual Walnut Bridge Festival will still be happening at Coolidge Park this month.  Another popular Chattanooga Summer event is the Nightfall free concert series, which is happening every Friday night through July 31st.

If you happen to also be a pet mom, then McKamey Animal Center‘s Paw Palooza event is for you!  This fundraiser will have a Best in Show event, costume contest, food trucks, and more!

Be sure to keep your eye on our monthly calendar, new events are being added all the time!  Have an amazing June!
