Welcome to July and Happy 250th Birthday to the United States of America!

Chattanooga has several events to celebrate the semiquincentennial birthday of our country!  The fun begins on July 2nd, with the annual Pops on the River with vendors, food trucks, and of course a huge fireworks show!  The following day, in Collegedale there will be the America 250: Faith & Family Celebration where there will be beautiful music from the East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra and more!  That evening, catch another fireworks show at the Catoosa County Fireworks Fest in Ringgold.

On the 4th of July itself, there are several happenings in the area. For kids, Creative Discovery Museum has its annual Red, White, and Blue Day event where there will be fun activities and their 21 Geyser Salute. In the evening, you have your choice of three great firework shows! The City of Soddy Daisy will host its 2026 Independence Day Celebration, the City of Collegedale is hosting its annual Freedom Festival, as will be the Lakesite Freedom Celebration.  Not ready for the fun to be over after that?  On Sunday, the Chattanooga Market will be having a Red, White, and Blueberries Market!

Besides Independence Day events, there are many other fun things occurring in July in Chattanooga.  Some of the areas favorite family attractions are hosting some great 21+ events this month!  The Chattanooga Zoo is hosting its annual Q n’ Brew where visitors can enjoy summer barbeque and cold beer, the Tennessee Aquarium will be having a Fish + 
Sips event, where there will be beer sampling along with food and music, and lastly, Creative Discovery Museum will be hosting Drink and Discover – Beach Bash!

There are also several great markets that you won’t want to miss this month!  In addition to the Red, White, and Blueberries Market from the Chattanooga Market, they will also be having a Peach Festival, Beast Feast, and Singer Songwriter Sunday markets.  There will be the Choo Choo Farmers Market occurring twice this month, and a Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival happening at Riverpark in July!
