Explore the natural world around us through animal encounters, Aquarium tours, crafts, and more!

Come spend your summer at the Tennessee Aquarium with a variety of camp experiences for ages 4 – 16! General camp, for ages 5-12, runs throughout the summer from June 8th through July 31st with themes like Tennessee Treasures, Around the World, Ancient Animals, and Survival of the Fittest. Tiny Tides is perfect for pre-K campers with the opportunity to learn about nature in a safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate environment. Enjoy two specialty camp options, Nature Detectives and Nocturnal Wonders. Chattanooga Zoo

We have a wide variety of interactive; engaging programs tailored to each age group including face-to-face encounters with wildlife, hands-on crafts and games, educational sessions with Zoo staff and plenty of time to explore the Zoo — including behind the scenes areas.

Rising 1st-5th graders will become Junior Zookeepers of the World! Each week of camp focuses on different types of animals, so campers can sign up for multiple sessions for different experiences!

Rising 6th-12th graders learn alongside Zoo staff with Animal Care 101 and Conservation Action 101! 

Middle and high schoolers will explore animal husbandry, feeding, training, enrichment and more while developing an appreciation for conservation.

Give your child summer adventure education with the Young Explorers Society’s local experts! Our goal is to inspire and enable kids to experience wonder, build friendships, cultivate character, and steward places through our adventures! We leverage expertise from our year-round programs to offer epic multi-sport and single-sport summer day camps for rising 2nd-10th grade students. Multi-sport camps provide a sampler of age-appropriate skill instruction in canoeing or kayaking, rock climbing, rappelling, creek exploring, and Leave No Trace principles. Single-sport Rock Climbing and Whitewater Canoeing camps go deeper into those specific skill sets. Camp Woodmont is a traditional co-ed summer camp for kids and teens ages 6-15. Located on 170 acres on Lookout Mountain in North Georgia, campers receive a traditional sleepaway summer camp experience with the option of 1- or 2-week sessions. Campers enjoy a wide range of activities, including horseback riding, ball sports, archery, canoeing, high and low ropes courses, a climbing wall, dance, arts and crafts, hiking, drama, ultimate frisbee, and so much more. College age counselors live in cabins with campers with the average staff to camper ratio being 1:5. Mocs Adventure Camp at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is a full-day summer program designed for rising Kindergarteners through 8th graders, with a specific Middle Mocs group for those entering 6th through 8th grade. This year, camp runs in weekly sessions from June 1st through July 31st (off June 29th – July 3rd), giving families flexibility and kids plenty of chances to join the fun. Each week includes rock climbing and bouldering, competitive sports, counselor and director led special activities, and DAILY swimming at UTC’s Waterpark. Every session features a field trip for all campers, and Middle Mocs will enjoy an additional field trip tailored to their age.  Our camp is staffed by experienced counselors, who are CPR and AED certified annually, focus on safety, fun, and skill building to engage our campers while building connections and confidence, all while staying active!

It’s a lively mix of physical challenges, team play, outdoor exploration, and community experiences that help makes Summer Fun for Everyone.

Maranatha Camp and Conference Center is a Christian summer camp on Lake Guntersville in Scottsboro, AL, offering a safe and welcoming place for kids to grow, explore, and build confidence. The main emphasis of Sail Camp is fun and safety. Campers will learn to speak the language of sailing, how to rig their own boat, use the wind to sail in any direction, how to right the boat when it tips over, then put away the boat at day’s end. While on shore, campers meet new friends while being taught care of their boat, rules of safe boating, how to tie useful knots, they will do some swimming, paddling, hiking and much more.
