Privateer Sail Camp offers weekly camps during June & July where we teach the skills of sailing. The emphasis of the camp is fun and safety. Campers will learn how to: speak the language of sailing, rig their own boat, leave the dock and return, use the wind to sail in any direction, then de-rig and put away the boat at day’s end. While on shore campers meet new friends while being taught care of their boat, rules of safe boating, and how to tie the most useful knots. They will also do some swimming, paddling, hiking, and much more.

Learning to sail their own boat and safely returning to shore gives your child increased self-esteem and confidence in their abilities. Many campers return year after year.
