NNH Thrift Crawl

Northside Neighborhood House will host a Thrift Crawl event on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in honor of National Thrift Day. Shoppers who spend at least $5 at each of Northside Neighborhood House’s three thrift stores that day will be entered into a drawing for a $100 NNH Thrift Store Voucher.

On National Thrift Day, Saturday, August 17, shoppers will receive a card to be punched after spending at least $5 at each of Northside Neighborhood House’s thrift stores, located at 211 Minor Road, 3605 Dayton Boulevard, and 10161 Dayton Pike. Once a patron has their card punched at each of the three stores, they will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 voucher redeemable at any NNH Thrift Store. Stores open at 10:00 AM that day and all cards must be punched by 6:00 PM when stores close to be entered to win.

“If you aren’t in the nonprofit world, you may not know just how important thrift stores are to organizations like Northside Neighborhood House,” said Chief Operations Officer Devin Edwards. “I’m very passionate about our Thrift Stores, and I’d love to see National Thrift Day grow each year to celebrate all the amazing things our stores do for the community.”

With sustainable shopping on the rise, Northside Neighborhood House’s three thrift stores in Northshore, Red Bank, and Soddy Daisy welcomed over 112,000 shoppers last fiscal year. While patrons find deals on anything from gently used clothing to antique furniture, the proceeds from each sale go back into supporting neighbors living north of the Tennessee River through the agency’s programs. Last year, approximately $725,000 in thrift store sales were used to help support Northside Neighborhood House’s Stability Services and CommUNITY Schools.
