The summer months are almost upon us, and with those come warm temperatures. Heat and humidity can make your summer fun seem limited, but one of the best ways to beat the summer heat in Chattanooga is by visiting a splash pad! We have a few around the scenic city that are guaranteed to be a load of fun for your little ones!
Chattanooga Splash Pads and Water Play
Warner Park Spray and Play: This location is great for children of all ages! There is a splash pad with all kinds of interactive splash areas, pool, obstacle course, changing area, and concession stand for hungry bellies! It’s also conveniently located on the same property as the Chattanooga Zoo and Miracle League of Chattanooga Playground.
Coolidge Park Splash Pad: Perhaps the most well known splash pad on this list, the Coolidge Park water area has been keeping children in Chattanooga happy for years! There are animals to climb on, small fountains, and a large fountain in the middle to cool your kids off all summer long. Located on the Northshore and next to the Walnut Street Bridge, this is a prime location for summer fun!
Aquarium Plaza: This unique spot right outside of the Tennessee Aquarium offers many wading streams and pools for kiddos to enjoy during the summer.
Ross’s Landing: This area is located right on the Tennessee River in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Similar to the Aquarium Plaza, it has larger water steps children can cool off in. It is located next to the Aquarium as well, so you can hit up both the streams in the Aquarium Plaza and the steps here!
Cleveland YMCA Pool and Splash Pad: The Cleveland YMCA has a fantastic outdoor pool and splash pad! With several fountains, graduated entrance, slide, diving boards, and more, this is a great spot to enjoy this summer!
City of East Ridge Splash Pad: This splash pad is brand new and ready for fun! It’s open every day from 11am to 8pm during the months of June – September.
There’s a splash pad in Dunlap too! 🙂
