It’s time to celebrate freedom, family, and fun in the Tennessee Valley! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, and Chattanooga has lots of events for your family to enjoy.

2024 Chattanooga 4th of July Events

Friday, June 28th 5pm – 10pm: The 2024 Freedom Festival will be held Friday, June 28. The event is FREE to attend and will be held at the Ross Abney Complex (old High School Football Field). Activities will begin at 5pm. There will be music, activities, vendors, and fireworks at 10pm. Don’t forget to bring your chair and join us on June 28!

Saturday, June 29th 4pm – 10pm: Don’t miss out on Saturday, June 29th from 4-10 PM in Downtown Chickamauga! Enjoy fireworks, a mechanical bull, a rock-climbing wall, and fantastic live music. Bring the family and celebrate with us!

Sunday, June 30th 11am – 4pm: Red, White, and Blueberry-themed market is an annual market nestled at First Horizon Pavilion. Featuring live music on the Lodge Cast Iron Stage and goodies from local artisans and craftsmen, this event is a go-to celebration in Chattanooga on the 4th of July.

Wednesday, July 3rd 4pm: On Wednesday, July 3rd, the City of Collegedale will celebrate Independence Day with their annual “Freedom Festival and Fireworks” event. The family- friendly celebration will begin at 4pm and end with a magnificent display of fireworks starting at 9:30pm.

Wednesday, July 3rd 3pm: Pops in the Park is back for 2024! Pops on the River features a free outdoor performance by the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera at 7:30pm, an opening performance by Chattanooga’s favorite party band Love, Peace & Happiness at 4:30pm, and local food trucks and artisan vendors activating the park beginning at 3pm. A fireworks finale will be launched from the neighboring Renaissance Park upon the conclusion of the Symphony’s performance at approximately 9:30pm.

Thursday, July 4th 7:15pm: Take in a Lookouts game and enjoy their beautiful fireworks afterwards!

Thursday, July 4th 5-9pm: Bring your family for an evening of food, fun, and fireworks at the pavilion at the Flintstone Freedom Fest! Kids will have an assortment of inflatables, face painting, and other fun activities. Firework will start at dusk.

Thursday, July 4th 12pm – 4pm: Celebrate America’s birthday at CDM’s annual Red, White, and Blue Day! From noon to 4pm on Thursday, July 4, guests will participate in several themed crafts and activities that teach children and families about the reason the 4th of July is celebrated every year.

Thursday, July 4th: The annual 1945 Dade County Fair will be held on the 4th of July. There are lots of fun events for your family to enjoy. The evening will end with a beautiful fireworks show.

Thursday, July 4th 10pm: Spend the day at Lake Winnie and enjoy their annual fireworks show! If you aren’t going to the park that day, there are many local spots where you can park and watch the show.

Saturday, July 6th 4pm – 10pm: Join the fun in Catoosa County for their annual 4th of July community event! The festivities will begin at 4pm with the crafts/makers market inside The Colonnade. The outdoor celebration begins at 5pm with a variety of food and treats, children’s activities, and games. Live music begins at 6pm.

Saturday, July 6th 6pm – 9:30pm: McLemore Resort hosts a celebration for America on Saturday, July 6th from 6-9:30pm. Family fun, yard games, pool games at Cloudland, and a cookout in the McLemore Courtyard lead up to the epic fireworks show Above the Clouds. Food and beverage is available for purchase at the event.

Saturday, July 6th 6pm – 10pm: Please join us on Saturday, July 6 from 6:00 to 10:00pm at Dallas Bay Church for the Lakesite Freedom Celebration! In the past, the City of Lakesite hosted its Independence Day Celebration at Lakesite Park. Due to the close proximity to residences and extremely limited parking there, the City is partnering with Dallas Bay Church to host this year’s celebration on the church campus located at 8305 Daisy Dallas Road. There will be food trucks, kids activities and fireworks! Rashonda Bentley will sing the National Anthem. Entry is free.

Saturday, July 6th: Soddy Daisy Independence Celebration will have a day packed with fun for everyone! There will be food trucks, vendors, a car show, kids activities, live music, and a firework show at dark! Bring your family and friends to celebrate!  We can’t wait to see you there!
