
It’s time to celebrate freedom, family, and fun in the Tennessee Valley! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, and Chattanooga has lots of events for your family to enjoy.
2025 Chattanooga 4th of July Events
Saturday, June 28th 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Don’t miss out on Saturday, June 28th from 4:00 -10:00 PM in Downtown Chickamauga! Enjoy live music from talented bands, exciting activities for the kids, delicious eats from local food vendors, and cap it all off with the most spectacular fireworks show in the area!
Thursday July 3rd 4:00 pm: On Thursday, July 3rd, the City of Collegedale will celebrate Independence Day with their annual “Freedom Festival and Fireworks” event. The family- friendly celebration will begin at 4:00 pm and end with a magnificent display of fireworks starting at 9:30 pm.
Thursday, July 3rd 4:00 pm: Pops on the River is back for an unforgettable Independence Day bash at Coolidge Park! Bring your crew and enjoy live music, delicious food trucks, amazing local vendors, and so much more. You won’t want to miss it!
Thursday, July 3rd 7:00 pm: The East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra (ETSO) announces its Independence Day Concert performance at the annual Collegedale Freedom Celebration on Thursday, July 3, at The Commons. This family-friendly event is FREE and open to the public. Concert begins at 7:00 pm, and ends with a “Firework Finale.”
Friday, July 4th 7:15 pm: Take in a Lookouts game and enjoy their beautiful fireworks afterwards!
Friday, July 4th 9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Celebrate America’s birthday at CDM’s annual Red, White, and Blue Day! Say “Happy Birthday” to America on Friday, July 4. Guests will participate in several themed crafts and activities that teach children and families about the reason the 4th of July is celebrated every year.
Friday, July 4th 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm: The annual 1945 Dade County Fair will be held on the 4th of July. There are lots of fun events for your family to enjoy. The evening will end with a beautiful fireworks show.
Friday, July 4th 10:00 pm: Spend the day at Lake Winnie and enjoy their annual fireworks show! If you aren’t going to the park that day, there are many local spots where you can park and watch the show.
Friday, July 4th 4:00 pm: Close out the Nightfall season with a full evening of music, food, and celebration at our Bluegrass Bubble Bash: Nightfall’s 4th of July Finale, a joyful Independence Day gathering in the heart of downtown Chattanooga! Starting at 5:00 pm, enjoy a stacked lineup of live music from local and regional artists on the Miller Plaza stage, with our grand finale headliner taking the Miller Park stage at 8:00 PM. Add food trucks, artisan vendors, and community togetherness — and it’s the perfect summer sendoff.
Friday, July 4th 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm: On Friday, July 4 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Dallas Bay Church there will be the Lakesite Freedom Celebration! The event will be located at 8305 Daisy Dallas Road. There will be food trucks, kids activities and fireworks! Entry is free.
Saturday, July 5th 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Join the fun in Catoosa County for their annual 4th of July community event! The festivities will begin at 3:00 pm with the crafts/makers market inside The Colonnade. The outdoor celebration begins at 5:00 pm with a variety of food and treats, children’s activities, and games. Live music begins at 6:00 pm. Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm.
Saturday, July 5th 6:00 pm: McLemore Resort will host Carnival Americana on Saturday, July 5th. Guests can enjoy live music, scenic views, fresh mountain air, and a festive, patriotic atmosphere that peaks with a spectacular mountaintop fireworks show. Kids will love the inflatable sports games and bounce house, while guests of all ages can play the putting green, snack on free popcorn, and watch the beloved Golf Cart Parade by McLemore members.
Saturday, July 5th: Soddy Daisy Independence Celebration will light up the sky in celebration of our community and Independence Day! This annual event brings together families, friends, and neighbors for an evening of patriotic fun and spectacular fireworks.
Sunday, July 6th 11:00 am – 4:00 pm: Red, White and Blueberries is an annual market nestled at First Horizon Pavilion. Enjoy blueberry pie eating contests at 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm and watch the vendors compete at 3:00 pm.
