It’s time to celebrate freedom, family, and fun in the Tennessee Valley! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, and Chattanooga has lots of events for your family to enjoy.
2022 Chattanooga 4th of July Events
Saturday, July 2nd 6pm: Celebrate Independence Day and support the Chattanooga Theatre Centre at the same time! They’re throwing the best Independence Day party in town in conjunction with the Pops in the Park concert and fireworks! Join in for a rip-roarin’ STAR SPANGLED PICNIC on our beautiful riverfront lawn. They’ll have BBQ by Sugar’s Ribs and a silent auction featuring North Shore merchants, all to benefit the CTC! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.
Saturday, July 2nd 8am – 10am: Join us for this community event to kick off a fun day of activities on Benton Place leading up to the Catoosa County Fireworks Festival later that evening.
Saturday, July 2nd 5pm: Pops on the River is a free outdoor patriotic concert by the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera. Located on the North Shore in Coolidge Park, the event also features performances from veteran songwriters with “Operation Song.” The celebration starts at 5 pm, while the fireworks kick off approximately at 9:45 pm.
Sunday, July 3rd 11am – 4pm: Red, White, and Blueberry-themed market is an annual market nestled at First Horizon Pavilion. Featuring live music on the Lodge Cast Iron Stage and goodies from local artisans and craftsmen, this event is a go-to celebration in Chattanooga on the 4th of July.
Sunday, July 3rd 5pm: Join in on Sunday, July 3rd, for Peavine’s Annual Cruise-In & Firework Show. The Cruise-In starts at 5pm. This event is open to vehicles of all ages. Come out and have a great Sunday with us. Next, celebrate freedom with our Annual Firework Show. This event is for the whole family so invite a friend, bring a lawn chair (or a blanket) and get ready for a whole lot of fun!! Fireworks will begin at dark.
Sunday, July 3rd 4pm: Join the fun at the Collegedale Freedom Celebration & Fireworks. The Commons will be the festival centerpiece with food trucks and entertainment. Admission to the Freedom Festival is FREE, but visitors are encouraged to arrive early as parking is limited. There will be a charge of $5 for parking; all proceeds benefit local nonprofit organizations. RAIN or SHINE! Fireworks shot at 9:30 pm.
Sunday, July 3rd 6:15pm: Take in a Lookouts game and enjoy their beautiful fireworks afterwards!
Monday, July 4th: The annual 1945 Dade County Fair will be held on the 4th of July. There are lots of fun events for your family to enjoy. The evening will end with a beautiful fireworks show.
