I may not have grown up in a family that was super enthusiastic about Halloween, but as an adult, I’ve embraced the gentler aspects of it. I despise being scared, so you won’t find me near a haunted house, but I love putting together costumes, decorating, carving pumpkins, and making fall-themed Bento boxes.
One thing I wish my family loved more was a themed family costume. My husband is a definite no on the subject, and I think I’ve only convinced all four of my kids to dress to a theme one year:
They were absolutely adorable as Harry, Hermione, Draco, and the Golden Snitch though, weren’t they?!
As we gear up for this Halloween, maybe I can try again…although given that my oldest will now be 15 on Halloween, the chances are slim.
If you are looking for a family costume, though, the Chattanooga Moms are brimming with ideas!
