I Am Proud of You!

I Am Proud of You!Hey lady! I am proud of you.

In case you haven’t heard that today, it’s important that you know that someone is proud of you. Maybe you ran a mile this morning or perhaps you sat on your deck and had coffee. Either way, I’m proud that you looked at your personal needs and took a moment to care for yourself.

I’m guessing some of you baked homemade cookies and brownies, but others loaded up and headed to Chick-fil-A followed by a doughnut for dessert. That’s ok too. I’m proud that each of you took the time to spoil and treat your family and yourself in the way that made the experience enjoyable for all of you!

Did homeschooling take you down this week or did you finish like a boss? Either way it went down, I don’t care. I am proud of you.

You, over there, who cried in the closet this week, I see you.

I too had a moment this week. I am proud of you for allowing yourself the emotions to begin to heal. It’s important to you and to your family. I am proud of you for getting up, when you felt the emotions turn, and dusting yourself off. You are back where you belong!

You are a light in your family. I’m proud of your love and heart, and how you are constantly building up all who are blessed to be around you. You are constantly giving it your all and showing others what it looks like to believe in the good that still swirls around. I see you and I am proud of you.

Keep it up my friend. I am proud of who you are, not what you’re doing. I am in your corner! Remember that God’s gonna lighten the load or He’s gonna strengthen your shoulders. You can trust that.

Erin Martin
Hello! Erin here! I was born and practically raised in Chattanooga, minus a few years as an Army brat. I graduated from Bryan College with a degree in Accounting/Business and currently work as corporate accountant. My husband, Michael and I live in Ooltewah and have been married 8 years. During this time, we have had some serious fun, hard discussions and added two pretty spectacular kids to the mix, Charlotte (5) and Jack (3). I love Jesus, books (so.many.books), coffee, coffee (not a duplicate) and TN Vols football! As a family, we love animals; farms, fishing, aquariums, zoos. If it’s got animals, we are there! Charlotte and I are travelers, but we are slowly getting the boys on board. We camp with friends and family (full disclosure: in a camper!), and I have been known to encourage dancing in the rain and splashing in mud. It’s good for the soul! Happy reading, friends!
