Family Friendly Halloween Movie Nights

0

With spooky season upon us, it is the perfect time to plan a fun movie night at home with the kids. Below are some of my inspirations, movie recommendations, and themed snacks to have fun with the whole family this Halloween season.

Family Friendly Halloween Movie Nights

First, pick the perfect movie.

Pick the movie first and then you can plan the rest of the night’s snacks, drinks, and treats. We are a toddler household, so our Halloween movie picks cater to the “less scary” choices, but you can, of course, choose your own theme.

Below are lists from popular bloggers and streaming services that I have been using to find our movie for the weekly movie night.

Second, the snacks!

What is a movie night without the snacks? Make your spooky movie night a little more special with these Halloween snack ideas that you can tie in with your movie choice. If your crew is a fan of popcorn, check out this Halloween popcorn mix, which is my kids’ favorite!

Third, set the scene.

Our movie nights at home come with pillow forts, plenty of blankets, pillows, the Nugget, and stuffed animals. Grab your favorite Halloween blanket, pillow, or stuffed animal, and set up the living room for the movie marathon. Of course, if you are really up to the challenge, you can decorate based on your movie, but we keep it simple with our Halloween decorations that are already set up.

I hope your family enjoys their spooky movie night as much as mine does this Halloween season. Make sure to share any of your family friendly Halloween movies so we can add to our bucket list. Happy Halloween!
