Parks and Walking Trails

Jim Sharp Park

New to Cleveland is Jim Sharp Park, a 1.5 acre, ADA accessible playground that connects to the Cleveland Greenway. Featuring a fishing pond, in-ground trampolines, and a large pavilion area perfect for picnics, Jim Sharp Park is Cleveland’s first inclusive playground made for every child to enjoy.

Deer Park

Beautifully renovated in 2019, Deer Park is a longtime local favorite and Cleveland’s oldest park. Kids love the zip lines, tire swings, and large sand area. There’s also a natural creek running through the park for fishing, play, and exploration. With open green spaces and shaded pavilions, Deer Park is a perfect spot for families to spend the day outdoors.

Fletcher Park

One of our favorite spots to explore is Fletcher Park. Perfect for stroller walks, bike rides, picnics, and nature watching, Fletcher Park is a peaceful park that has something for kids of every age. There’s a variety of fun for families to discover, including an 18-hole disc golf course, Japanese flower gardens, and an ADA-accessible fishing pond.

Nest and Bloom Playspace

If you’re looking for an indoor, sensory-filled experience for your kiddos to enjoy, check out Nest and Bloom Playspace! Offering a range of activities for little ones ages 0-6, Nest and Bloom Playspace is an engaging indoor playground where children can play, explore and learn while parents relax and connect. They also offer lots of special events, including mom meet-ups, book clubs, homeschool groups, and music and movement groups.

Cleveland Bradley County Public Library

Growing up in Cleveland, the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library was always a cozy oasis for my family and me, and now I love getting to share that experience with my little one. From prenatal and postpartum groups, baby to preschool storytimes, and a variety of activities for teens, the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library offers programs for every age group.

The Bookery

A new spot in town is The Bookery, a homey bookstore and bakery that has quickly become a favorite among local families. Children ages 2-10 can enjoy Cozy Corners Storytime, hosted every other Thursday at 10am and featuring special guest readers! Also, be on the lookout for special events hosted throughout the year, like the Children’s Writing Competition for students grades 3-8, plus summer writing workshops for young storytellers!
