Summer is in full swing in Chattanooga and lavender is in the air! Lavender farms are a great place to pick some beautiful flowers, sneak a few sweet pictures, and enjoy a summer evening outside.

Chattanooga Area Lavender Farms

Lookout Lavender Farm, located on Lookout Mountain, is the perfect spot to get your lavender fix this summer. Their pick-your-own season is just around the corner. For a small fee, you can pick your own bundles of lavender to take home starting in June. It’s a short season and hours are limited, so don’t let the dates slip past you. Make sure to take your camera to snap some pretty pictures while you’re there.

If you can’t make it during this timeframe, they have a storefront that is open on Saturdays, and you can shop online. They specialize in lavender essential oil, so your purchase can be practical while smelling wonderful! They even offer classes to learn about lavender.

Snow Hill Farms, located right in Ooltewah, is the largest U-pick lavender farm (as well as watermelons and blueberries!) in Tennessee, with over 3,000 plants. Their hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, from about June until September.  They also have events throughout the year, including a lavender festival in May!  They also have a lot of other fun activities as well!

Wadecraft Farms: Wadecraft Lavender was founded in the spring of 2021 with 200 plants and 10 different cultivars (or varieties). Today, Wadecraft Lavender has about 600 plants, consisting of 18 different cultivars! You can start picking lavender on May 30th.  You can check out their available dates here.
