Gold’s Gym Anywhere

Golds Gym AnywhereLike many of my fellow moms, I had so many plans and goals for the 2020 post-Covid world. We were going to resume our park playdates, attend every festival in a 40-mile radius and even start double-dipping the salsa bowl again. Things were going to be FABULOUS. We moved here for the Chattanooga life and with two kids finally in school, I would be hitting the Downtown Gold’s Gym hard! And as you know from my last post about Gold’s Gym, I would follow that up with a hip “mom with no kids” coffee and walk around downtown.

Well, as you know, COVID never actually went away and as the cases rise, apparently so does the amount of gravity required to hold my cake-loving self to the ground.

I know nothing beats a good old kid escape to the slow setting on the treadmill, but what I’m about to tell you next could very well be life-changing during this season of home hangouts.

Did you know that you can access Gold’s Gym workouts for FREE?!

There are over 200 videos and auditory workouts straight from Gold’s Gym! I think I mentioned it in my first post about my Chattanooga Membership, but I’ve really been leaning on it lately. I don’t want to lose all the progress I’ve made since the end of the last quarantine, so I’ve been getting into the gym when I can (which isn’t very often lately), and checking these videos out from home. They are pretty cool and there are even a few the kids can join in on.

You don’t need a login or anything. You click here and browse the selections. Scroll all the way to the bottom to see the Family movement classes. Also check out the nutrition videos; Smoothies The Balanced Way has some great information about making a smoothie that can help keep your immune system up. I think their nutritionist is great and very informative. I watched this video twice because it had so much information and a great recipe.

If you are a group class girl, they have the option to upgrade to LesMills On Demand. It’s the same great classes I was hitting when I was getting into the downtown gym and if I do them now, I can totally show off when I get back into class.

They are really taking care of business and when I do go, I time it to the least busy times of the day. If you are curious, you can check out their COVID precautions here.

So, let me know what you’ve been doing to stay fit during these crazy times, and let’s make a plan to take over Gold’s Gym when this is all over.

Jessica Pope
Hello! I'm Jessica. I grew up in Northern Indiana where I joined the Navy right out of high school. After 3 deployments and some amazing port calls I married a fellow sailor and began a family. We moved around a few times in search of a forever city. After a few visits to the Chattanooga area we fell in love and set in motion our move to the highly recommended Signal Mountain. I am slowly chipping away at my marketing degree while working part time at a local marketing agency. I am also a huge portrait photography lover and have a small studio up here on Signal Mountain where I shoot luxury portrait for children and women. You can check out my work at www.venyaportrait.com. We have 2 kiddos, Jazzy(6) who's larger than life and Joseph(3) who is taking his sweet time growing up. We have always planned to adopt as well and are currently awaiting a match for a big sister in need of a loving home. I also volunteer as a court advocate for abused and neglected children in the area. It's a great program and you can check out more at https://www.tncasa.org/. You can find me binging true crime podcasts and dark drama shows late at night. I'm a serial hobbyist, I'll never turn down an iced coffee, I actually try hard not to cuss like a sailor and I love meeting different kinds of people.
