I love thrift stores. I don’t even really like shopping all that much, but I can rarely pass up a good thrift store. I can rarely pass up a bad thrift store. I think you get the point.
With two boys in the house, I am regularly replacing their clothes. When I buy secondhand, I can buy more of what I need, and I don’t have to worry about ruining things as much because most of their clothes aren’t new anyway.
I’ve already written the post on how to be a good thrift store shopper, so I’ll focus more on where to find them this time around. Following them on social media is a good way to stay abreast of what each store has and what their deals are. I did a quick Facebook post to find the best places around town (complete with a handy dandy map). There are some of these stores which I have not visited myself, but they do come recommended.

I promise you, thrift stores are not just for theme party costumes or crazy graphic t-shirts (although I love those too). Thrift stores are for new Keen hiking boots, 3-piece suits for a little boy, and your new favorite bookshelf, just to name a few. So find a new place for hidden treasures, and enjoy the hunt!
