Chattanooga New Year's Eve Family EventsAs 2024 is coming to a close, it’s time to think about the start of 2025. If you’re a parent, gone are the days of ringing in the new year with a night on the town. Even though it can be hard to party with little ones in tow, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate as a family. Here are some local events that everyone can enjoy as you ring in the new year.

Chattanooga New Year’s Eve Family Events

Creative Discovery Museum’s Cheers to the New Year (December 28th at 6pm) – Ring in the New Year at the only New Year’s party in town designed specifically for children and families! Families will enjoy our Winter Playland with special activities, including: Salt Paper and Bubble Wrap Fireworks, Party Hats, and a Time Capsule activity. And of course, no New Year’s party is complete without well wishes for the coming year and a classic CDM dance party at 7:00 in the atrium! Join us as we say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025! Tickets are $8 per person | Members Only!

New Years at Noon (December 31st from noon to 3pm) – Join us in welcoming the New Year with a day of family fun at CDM! From 12-3 p.m., join CDM in ringing in the New Year. Celebrate with a dance party and balloon drop, create your own countdown clocks, and make party hats. It’s the perfect way to celebrate together as a family!

  • Noon – Countdown with ball drop & confetti in the atrium
  • 1pm – Snowfall in the atrium
  • 2pm – Dance party and balloon drop in the atrium

Bridgeman’s Chophouse – Ring in the New Year at Bridgeman’s Chophouse with your closest friends and family for our full menu with special New Year’s features.

Tennessee Valley Railroad New Year’s Eve Dinner (December 31st at 5pm and 9pm) – New Year’s Eve Dinner train trip includes a four-course dining experience onboard restored dining and pullman cars. The excursion trains depart from Chattanooga’s Grand Junction Station at 5pm and 9pm, traveling at a leisurely pace through portions of urban East Chattanooga before reversing direction and returning to Grand Junction. The travel time is just right for a complete meal on a vintage dining car.

Ice on the Landing – Ice on the Landing is holding holiday hours on New Year’s Eve from 10pm to 12:30am.

Southern Belle Riverboat – You can catch an early dinner cruise for the family on New Year’s Eve or one at 9pm to help you welcome 2024!

Rock City Enchanted Garden of Lights – You can enjoy a stroll through the beautiful lights of Rock City to help you ring in the new year.

Ring in 2025 at Chattanooga’s New Year’s Eve Celebration! Join us on December 31st at Coolidge Park for a FREE, unforgettable night of fun and festivities in one of Chattanooga’s most scenic spots overlooking the Tennessee River.

New Year’s Nightmare – One of Chattanooga’s most well known haunted houses, Dread Hallow, is opening for this special event on December 28th and January 4th.

The Read House – Ring in the new year at The Read House’s New Year’s Eve Roaring ’20s Party with overnight accommodations, tickets to the party, and much more!

The Read House’s New Year’s Eve Getaway Package –  Whether you have New Year’s party plans elsewhere and just need a place to stay, or you are looking for a low-key celebration away from home – celebrate the end of 2024 with a New Year’s Eve stay at The Read House.
